Seeing 3D Molecules on Your Computer Screen: This is the "how-to" page for viewing molecules in 3D. It explains how to get the two free programs you need: Netscape and Chime, and how to install them on your computer. Please note the following requirements:

Windows:
Pentium class recommended
64 MB or more recommended
800 X 600 recommended

Macintosh:
Power PC required
32 MB or more recommended
800x600 or better recommended

Annotated Links: These web sites may be useful for investigating a DNA topic of interest to you. Find your DNA "hook!"

Project Links: These links are the ones featured in the material given to interested parties in class, for developing a DNA project to work on. They are not annotated here, but are for your convenience in clicking rather than typing!

DNA Chime Tutorial: This is the basic DNA structure tutorial that was shown in class. You DO need chime installed on your computer to view this tutorial.

Molecules in Motion: Visit this site for more molecules (including protein) tutorials.

DNA Discovery Modules: These are the DNA tutorials shown in class. The Discovery Modules require the Shockwave Plug-In. If you don't have Shockwave, visit the Macromedia Shockwave download site - it's quick and easy to get, and it's free.
